There’s this brand of humility that’s only been spoken of in recent times – it’s the Jesus’ brand of humility. That although he was lowly, calm and all, yet, he proclaimed his identity as Son of God and, his business with salvation and miracle with the pride of their influence to the world!

I mean, this was a seemingly ordinary man who stood in the synagogue, our version of church, and read from scriptures written centuries ago by Prophet Isaiah and declared these words were ’bout him:

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”
Luke 4:18-19 (Isa. 61:1-2)

Pure blasphemy, you would think. More confusing was this same man claiming humble and meek, lowly and down to earth. But eh, isn’t that who he is and what he has done and continues to do?!Talking about and declaring boldly who he is and his assignment did not in any way reduce the importance or responsibility of the world around him. If anything, it gave everyone a sense of focus and what to do; the crowd, the disciples, Pharisees and all, even Judas. Everyone knew what to do!

Listen, talking about what you do is NOT pride! You are reaching for good influence.

Telling your stories is NOT pride. You are writing history!

Discover what you do and who you are, and talk about it!

Help people around you develop a sense of focus; about you and themselves!

Tell your stories. Enough with fake humility.

Enough with being shy or an introvert. It’s 2021. Shyness is no longer in vogue.

Instead, find your convenience with telling your stories; with whom or on which platforms, how much of it you wanna tell and go ahead and tell it.

You are not bringing anyone down. What you find, you get the right to keep; finder’s keeper!

Give yourself a chance. Give others hope & comfort.

And if you think you don’t have a stories, you have believed in a lie. Your life is a story. Your journey, struggles, successes and people you’ve met along the way are all cast, crew and props for your story.

Be encouraged to tell you story, my friend.
